At an early stage Vollers were involved with Wollongong Council to specify the curved cappings for tender.
Vollers introduced the concept, completed all drawings and eventually manufactured all cappings.
The job was done in three stages over a period of 6 to 12 months.
The detail of the capping is significant. On the front face of the capping you will see two faint ribs. These ribs stiffen the front face of the capping to stop it oil-canning (buckling or warping). This face is curved, and so the top of the capping is cut to a curved profile. Complicated and challenging but a great solution.
